Strawberries

Strawberries are an immune system booster.  One cup of strawberries provides over 100 mg of Vitamin C.  Vitamin C plays an important role in strengthening the cornea and retina, and can help protect against cataracts.  Strawberries contain Ellagic acid, which helps to inhibit the growth of cancerous cells.  Both Vitamin C and Ellagic acid help to slow the effects of aging and prevent wrinkles.  Vitamin C is necessary for the production of collagen. Strawberries also fight bad cholesterol, reduce inflammation of the joints and help regulate blood pressure.
